[ Running the numbers to try to figure out what scheme he's been involved in this past month that would lead to the acquisition of a car.

That isn't to say that all of his acquaintances are walking that same non-stolen vehicle line, or that he wasn't the one to drive it when someone handed over the keys to him.
He definitely doesn't have it now though, so if the police do get involved at least he's clear on that front. ]

[ If Puppy seriously thinks his memory is good enough to remember what he wore that night... he can't even remember what this car looked like. He took keys from a contact to drive a car from point A to point B for a meeting, dumped a cat out of it, tossed the keys to someone else, hand his illicit meeting, and then took public transit home.
Even if this is taken to the police it'll be hard to prove he had any part in this, but if they actually decided to do a thorough investigation it could be a pain for him. He didn't steal a car, but some of the actual things he did that night were much worse. ]

Seungjun closes his door to make sure the cat doesn't try to dart into the apartment, then glances up and down the hallway to try and see what apartment it belongs to. No obvious doors open, so he'll be damned if he's going to bothered with trying to track this guy's proper home.
His owners better hope he doesn't get out and onto the street.
And with that thought he shifts the strap of his backpack further up his shoulder and steps over the cat. ]

[ It's a surprise to him! He yells loudly, kicking with all of his force to try to dislodge the cat off his ankle. Thank god for jeans providing some protection, but cat teeth are little needles and do a good job getting through even tougher fabric. ]
